Gloria forever, this is the ultimate agenda of PGMA. No less than removed Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez revealed this in an interview with ABS-CBN. If the Constituent Assembly (con ass) under HR 1109 pushed through, the President will run as Prime Minister under a parliamentary system. Gonzalez explained that with all those planning to run for president in 2010 pledging that they will prosecute PGMA if they win the President has no choice but to stay in power forever.

Gonzalez is an authoritative source. Among cabinet members, Gonzalez is the most rabid partisan of PGMA. He politicized the Department of Justice (DOJ) and transformed it into the most effective tool of the administration to run after the perceived enemies of the President. For his blind defense of PGMA bordering to absurdity, Gonzalez earned the moniker as secretary of injustice. His closeness with the President is beyond question.

There is no iota of doubt that PGMA is drunk with power and is determined to rule this country for life. Even Gonzalez’ excuse that the President is doing it to escape prosecution for high crimes against the people is just an alibi. Power and nothing else, not even the prospect of prosecution, that drives PGMA to tinker with the Constitution.

HB 1109 or con ass without the Senate is a coup, a blatant power grab if pushed through. It is crazy to accept the House of Representa-thieves can amend the Constitution by its lonesome. If ordinary legislative measures require the approval of both chambers of Congress before they pass, how much more if the measures are constitutional amendments? To insist on a Senate-less con ass is a “shameless abuse of power” as Cory Aquino brands the attempt.

But the administration is ramming it even if it might push the country into the abyss. Senate-less con ass will plunge the nation into turmoil and tear it apart. It not only invites civil strife but naked power grab from various sectors. HB 1109 becoming a reality is a crime and once consummated, it will be open season for other power blocs – the military, politicians and vested interest groups, to launch their own effort to wrestle power. An illegitimate act will be countered by illegitimate action or actions leading to national fragmentation.

This country is headed for destruction all because of the burning ambition of one person to monopolize power for life. This must not be allowed. All Filipinos, concerned about the future of the nation must prevent HB 1109 from taking flesh and blood.

Never! This is the collective response of the Filipino people to Gloria forever. What right does PGMA has to become the leader of this country for life? Recent Pulse Asia survey reveals almost half (48%) of those surveyed distrust the President. A Social Weather Station (SWS) survey on the other hand shows 46% of those asked said they don’t believe PGMA will give up power.

In the past, the pulse of the nation was unequivocal – PGMA is perceived as the most corrupt president the country ever had, she had the lowest approval and the highest distrust ratings among Philippine presidents. All these indicate a sounding rejection of PGMA as a leader. For her to insist and impose her leadership on the Filipino people beyond her term even through illegal means is unacceptable.

The consistent thrashing of PGMA in the heart and minds of the people is due to what her administration did and is doing. Graft and corruption on the scale and depth never seen since the days of the Marcos dictatorship characterize her administration. Hundreds of journalists and leftist activists were slaughtered under her watch. Bad governance, blatant abuse of power and the destruction of government institutions like the Office of the Ombudsman are the hallmarks of PGMA’s presidency. Paralysis and hopelessness is seeping into national consciousness. Morally, this nation is bankrupt with PGMA leading by example.

These are the legacies of the leadership of PGMA. It is for these reasons that Filipinos must resolutely say never to Gloria forever. There is no future, there is no hope there is no life under PGMA’s leadership. It is a national suicide to allow PGMA to stay in power beyond 2010. PGMA has no right to drag the Filipino nation to hell. Filipinos deserve something better.

The coming days are critical for the country. PGMA and her legions of bootlickers, thieves, corrupt personalities and various elements of darkness will intensify their assault on the Constitution and accepted norms of Filipino society. They will heighten their attempt to impose their diabolical design on the nation.

All Filipinos who genuinely love their country must be ready to do battle with the forces of darkness. It takes men and women of good will to do nothing for evil for triumph.

  Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is absolutely shameless and ruthless, a snake in the grass, with a heart after Satan’s own heart. She is a cold-blooded witch who should be burned at the stakes. The sooner the better for this country that’s already on life support because of her. We have a lot of psychopaths in our government and in our culture, what with a president who is a psychopath herself, totally lacking in conscience and shame and guilt, a woman who can’t stop cheating and stealing.
  Our only hope is to get rid of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo no matter what it takes!!

You inspire us to be vigilant and to escalate the fight against Gloria Arroyo — THE MOST CORRUPT PRESIDENT the Philippines ever had. We should all get involved in destroying all her evil agenda.   I agree with that ,Gloria will never succeed in her evil plans now that many of us are wide awake of the malady she had inflicted in us. In the end, she will surely loose the battle. As what Edmund Burke said,” All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” But many Filipinos are doing something just to signify their sentiments of what she is doing right now.
  I think she should not maximize her effort just to utilize for her extended stay in power because in the end it will be nonsense.I would like to remind her of one line saying, “Nothing stays forever”. She should wake up in her illusive fantasies that she’s trying hard to turn to realities because it’s making all of us having night mares.
