Who betrayed Boy Mejo?

Posted on October 7th, 2008

SUDDENLY, Boy Mejo admitted having reconciled with TESDA Secretary Boboy Syjuco, the good “father” he had been cursing on the air. Why had it taken him eight long months, since February 2008, to confess?

Probably, the prodigal “son” had been agonizing over how he could justify the reconciliation without looking “pera.”

Ironically, it was Boy’s good friend, Pavia Mayor Arcadio Gorriceta, who first divulged the secret on the air after learning that Boy had been distributing to all AM stations the “Good News” message of Congresswoman Judy Syjuco.

After hearing it from Ka Cadio, this writer alerted The Daily Guardian publisher Lemuel Fernandez on the possibility of getting from Boy a copy of the recorded message for airing on our Saturday Aksyon Radyo program, The Daily Guardian on Air.

Lemuel did not heed my advice, hoping perhaps that Boy Mejo would not forget him. On second thought, was our publisher skeptical of the reconciliation story?

Well, Lem, hindi naman Hapon ‘yang si Boy who would do harakiri when dishonored.

Anyway, why don’t we give Boy Mejo the benefit of the doubt?

After all, the man who asked “pila?” – Alex Espino – had also been an off-and-on “reconcilee.” He could not be more credible than Boy no!

For exposing Boy’s top secret, Ka Cadio probably risks being next victim of radio attacks – that is, if Boy could still recall the alleged anomaly that Ka Cadio did at Panayfed.

Don’t you agree, Vic Fac?

By order of the PSG – as if we’re now under martial law – the Bacolod City PNP has filed sedition charges against five laborers for heckling President Arroyo during her Bacolod visit last week. Sipsip!

Actually, we need hecklers every time GMA goes out of Malacañang – so she would forget her intention to stay in power beyond 2010 via cha-cha. We have had enough graft and corruption.

Pope laments “loss of Godliness” in modern society.

The Pope should look at the Philippine situation for explanation – where the Catholic Church encourages the poor to multiply.

GMA does not care. The more the people who buy gas, food and medicine, the more she VAT she collects.

Brother Eddie Villanueva wants to run again for President. Brother Mike Velarde also threatens to run in 2010, too. Both would ask their submissive flock to vote for them.

Whom will the INC support?

Sorry Garci, your services would be unnecessary.

Miriam Defensor Santiago blames the Bureau of Customs for massive smuggling of Chinese products, including the “melamined” milk, into Manila.

She must have forgotten that, by her own recommendation, the district collector of the port of Manila is one of her cousins. Or does she want him to sing his swan song?

Mayor Jerry Treñas doesn’t expect to run against Raul Gonzalez Jr. for congressman in 2010.

Deep inside, however, he is prepared. He knows that Kgd. Eldrid, who is making it hard for his pet Dinagyang Foundation to collect money from City Hall, is Sec. Raul’s factotum.
